what are you comfortable doing? if you're ok with drilling and slotting some new holes you could bolt in a 6.5 clone. you also need to be sure everything is square so the sprocket and clutch are aligned properly.

the 2.8 in the DB has a smaller mounting pattern than the bigger motors. what i posted before is the least you'll have to do and is pretty much the most you'll need to do to actually bolt in the motor. you'll also need a new clutch because the doodlebugs have a 5/8" shaft instead of a 3/4" like most others. with a clone swap you'd also need to figure out the throttle set up too (can be easy if you remove the gov and want to spend an extra $35 on an air filter assembly).

I just bought a doodlebug mini bike for my son. I have seen the positive feedback on the upgrade kit that cjtmini has. How do I get one and how much does it cost?
