How do i run a light?

I did a briggs 5hp swap on my RUPP hustler, and right now, inbetween the upper forks, i have a #9 pitbike thing so it dosent look so bare,

i have a few spare baja KC lights from my offraders, and the smaller one i have, fits nice and can be mounted in-between the forks,

how do these motors run lights, and how would i wire mine with a switch from where on the motor, thanks,

i plan on maybe doing some night riding, and this would be sweet,

Yeah, I would like to run a light w/ a mini 12v now that they're cheap enough. My ultimate setup would be a HID mountainbike light set ($160 though...). It has a super small battery that powers a true 2" HID light (bright as f***!) for about 4-6 hours. I was a bike mechanic for a few years and know whats real, that light is real!

I just couldnt justify spending that much on a light when I my 5hp Flathead needs some gaskets and a billet rod, but they are nice and durable and water resistant.

I think you can install somethin as a generator, I think its called a stator. Its what comes on electric start engines, expensive and not worth it in my opinion unless you want to put on an electric $tarter.

If a light is needed right away, just grab a flashlight and duct-tape.

There are flywheels with internal magnets and stators that bolt up to the block.

thats what i was thinkin, get a flywheel with a mounted stator and but a rotor for underneath, wire it up nice, but u have a points motor, wouldent that interfere with the stator assembly? i dunno, but my motor was originally from a snowblower,

i think im gonna go with the 12 battery idea, i got the perfect place for it on the rupp, and i am gonna use a standard plug charger to charge it up, so its easy,, and i wont do TONS of night riding, just nice to have,

correct block[later version].longer crank, stator for under flywheel, correct i/c military flywheel[thats where i found mine].these parts are tough to find, exept the crank shaft which is the same as the snowblower electric start crank.
the corect block will have 2 "stands" under the flywheel that will be drilled but most likely not threaded.
you will have about 5 amps at best to light with.
