I've had good luck with Max-Torque.Comet may well be better, but I'm too cheap to pay that much.

Max-torque rocks item#455 on mfgsupply.com $25.99 + 6.99 to ship. So far it works great with my 6.5hp lifan.

Where'd you find a $21 Comet clutch?All the ones I've found are around $60-$70.

This price isn't too bad, and I think sledpartsguy is a forum member here too.

I just bought/received a clutch from BMI for $22.95 that wasn't a Comet in the picture but surprisingly was one when it showed up.

Just got the Max tourque clutch in the mail yesterday...put the clutch on and it bareley engages, even while revved up pretty good. My halfway burned up stock clutch performes better. Maybe I should've gotten the Comet, I have had nothing but great experiences with their tourque converters. Needless to say I am not impressed and going with a Comet. Thanks for all of the input.
