Diesel engine idea.....

Has anyone tried to use a diesel on a mini? The upside would be no fouled plugs () and fuel that doesn't get stale.

Me too.I'd considered the diesel option myself,given that i could just snag some fuel from my truck to fuel the bike.But man are diesels expensive.And I don't know if you'd need special clutches or not.

The hd300d diesel engine sells for about $350 on ebay. They turn at 3600 rpm so no special clutch is required. They produce 6.5 hp but they make the same torque as an
eleven horse gas engine. The only drawback is that the engine is too tall to fit in most minibike frames. The diesel mini on youtube has an oversized frame.
