Talking Any info on these engines: LCT MaXX Series

Does any one know any thing about these engines for a Baja 30 Doodle bug upgrade project. Talked to a guy that put one on a go-kart with hardly any mods and runs great. Northern Tool has them for $150.00
LCT MaXX Series OHV Horizontal Engine — 208cc, 9.00 Ft.-Lbs. Torque, Model# PLMHK14600124P-BNE2 | LCT | Northern Tool + Equipment
I've had great luck with Northern Tool (plus you get a mailed catalog for the crapper library).

Here is the LCT MaXX USA corporate website with some nice engineering information such as HP/torque curves and bolt patterns and such....PDF and web site looks professional

Looks like a pretty good engine, or at least a good website. Nice to have you on here, keep posting!

Exclamation I think it might be too tall

I thought about this engine but when I called Northern Tool and got the dimensions, I determined it was too tall. I ended up going with the 6.5 HP that is sold from Harbor Freight. The conversion was fairly easy and the engine fit like it was made for the Doodlebug. I had to shorten the chain and drill holes in the mounting bracket. Other than that it was real straight forward. I also purchased a new Comet clutch.

Be careful with your 8-year-old on that thing. It really flies with that engine.

I plan on posting some pictures soon.
