engines and parts

i pickup some cool little engines with gas tanks built on top of the side cover. the white engine is a 3.5hp clinton. the Turquoise is a tecumseh 3 hp? and the black engine is a 3hp tecumseh(parts maybe?) all for $20 make cool engines for a minibike with the tank built like that

Turquoise engine has the same ID tag mounted on the crankcase breather cover as another engine i have? starting to wonder who wanted there engines painted and ID like this?

my other Turquoise engine with same Id tag, dates codes are 1970 and 1969

also found some old style tecumseh air cleaners for $2 and a pair of new old stock handle bar grips$2. grips are the same style grips use for mtd/columbia minibikes

pickup this really cool belt clutch drive system with rim and disc brake for $25,almost like new

I have the same engine as your blue one (but not that tank) It's a 3HP and that is stamped in very small letters behind your tank in the upper middle of the recoil cover.

I saw one of those belt drives at the show in Ann Arbor this year. It came off from a small gocart, with a plastic Valvoline body (you know the type). The motor sat directly over the rear tire. I tried to get the guy to sell me just the same set up as yours, but no go, I would have had to buy the whole cart.
Would be a quiet set up I bet.

ok tanker2008, i will have to keep my eye open for more info on reo outdoor products, thanks
yes, the one engine has a gear reduction on it. maybe you can see it in the first picture posted? here's a better picture of it with a rare hand wind

jeep4me, i think this may have come off the same type of gokart. from the looks of the belt length? the clutch had to be close to the rear pulley. i will need to find a longer belt if i use it for a minibike i would think it would have alot less vibration with a belt drive.
..................real smooth

Delray, Did you see the "REO WEB PAGE" I left you on the reo engines a while back when you were showing the little engine you just bought? It has some info on the engines and serial numbers with production dates. If you didn't see it yet take a look.
