High Banked Oval Video!

I think some of you guys may like this video. The guy that I video taped has a mild GX200 Clone on his bike I built a while back for him. Them I showed him how to rebuild it himself. If you guys can't remember this was the motor that was running with the broken crank a while back. I will bump that thread so you can see it again.

Please note: There is a lot of crusing going on in the video. I was just a little worked up while taping.

I didn't have a bike that can pull start. I start off that way, then it gets so modified I can't pull start it any more.

About 50 mph top speed.
Big Al couldn't go full speed, so his bike should like it was quite. The Briggs WF was reving high at about 7,200 RPM. But was topped out at 50mph. Big Al's bike will do 66mph top speed in the 1/4 mile.

One of the problems is that he didn't change his gearing so he can take off and rev faster. But he was still blowing them away. He just stopped racing a 1/2 lap to soon.

To win you had to at least been going 50mph. Most of the bikes went from 20-40mph. Those guys he was zooming around mostly had stock 6.5hp clones on there bikes and was thinking they are going 60mph. But I can listen to them and know they wasn't going the fast.

If you really ran that speed, and can't race good you would have done good.

The briggs world formula motor he was racing against makes 13hp box stock. He was in second place, and the guy in third had a stock 15hp motor on his minibike. My buddy Al's minibike makes about 16hp, but he could only use about 12hp of it.

This video is the race of all the champions of the first 5 races.
It was 18 guys total 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from each 5 races. Al won the first race to qualify him for the final race. That video is the final race, so the slowest bike was going about 40mph. 10 more MPH makes a big difference in racing.

i wouldn't even plan on winning. i've got a mildly modded 6.5 on mine now. my old 5.5 with the same mods was hitting 44.x mph on the GPS. this one should be about the same. i forgot to bring my GPS over to my buddy's house yesterday.

i think i'm going to do a head, bigger cam and drop down to a probably a 60t rear sprocket soon. i'll be happy (for awhile) once i hit 60mph.
