noob. need super bronc belt #

I've been lurking for a bit now; GREAT site. Thanks to all.

I need a part # for a super bronc vt10. Throwing special order belts at it at $20 a pop isn't working for me.

Can anybody help?
Asymetrical comet.

Thanks-Josh

Test:

Ride pics.

These are BEFORE cleaning. Aside from new clutch buttons (and the wrong belts) I haven't touched it.

I'm putting function over form for now. I'll post up after a bath.

20 years in a garage (in AZ). Rotten tires but GREAT condition. Zero rust aside from the chain.

Fired up third pull. (dead battery or I'd just turn the key).

Hi Josh : The Comet TAV should be a # 203589A your picture shows what looks like a stock Comet TAV. You can check out Drive System Kits for 3 to 8hp Engines The have all the comet information there .

I went through my old e-mails from when I asked Ron Kimball about a super bronc VT8 and VT10 belt and he told me that the Comet # 203591A for the 30 series clutch is the correct belt. That is what I have on mine and works perfect. You can get it here-

203591A - Belt for 30 Series. 29-9/32" OC.

Thanks everybody.

Jackson is a great place to live as long as you have money or don't need money. I'm the second myself. Broke all the time but my family is happy. I left az behind for 7 months of winter. Couldn't be happier.

As for the belt: I have a 203591a on the bike. If you look at the pic it seems too long. I never even fired it up as it seemed too long. Nobody stocks them around here or I could just look at the belts. :(

Anyone know the difference from a 91a vs an 89a?

Any thoughts welcome.
Thanks-Josh

Hi Josh : From looking at your pictures it shows that your bike has the comet steel backing plate and the center to center distance between the engine shaft and the jack shaft has to be 6 15/16 to 7 inches and that requires a # 203589A belt that measures 27.36 inch outside circumference. The belt that you have is way too long.
