Fuel Pump

What are the befits of adding a fuel pump even though my tank is above the carb?

The motor try's to die when I come to a stop and have to keep giving it just a little gas.

check your idle jet and carb passages and make sure you have NOT blocked the little holes in the carb where the filter mounts....one is for the idle circuit in the carb...filter adapter can block them sometimes....

.....it should be fine....my tank is mounted like yours and mine runs fine....

Know how to check it?....Here is a PDF file of the carb checklist from honda

Some in-line fuel filters will restrict flow on a gravity fed system. A fuel pump would insure there is gas going to motor.
