Dong Jin or something like that. I'm not Chinese but I know the brand I believe that is the OEM Baja motor.

Dj makes a lot of engines, they started small as a provincial foundry machine works like most of these Chinese outfits making iron diesel engines, walking tractors pumps ect.
Some of the export engine they had years back were realy bad. The clones are much better these days

It's just as good to build into a hot rod tho, isn't it? It's even got a hex shaped recoil. Pretty cool. It does have the Baja sticker on the recoil, also. Scott.

Fine motors, no worries.

I would avoid any iron diesels they made between 2000 and 2003 though. Thats we first started seeing these engines. They made good engines back then but if you don't ask the right questions you don't always get what you want ( or should be selling ). A lot of the iron engines and Yanmar clones they made were built very much on the cheap for people who were getting into the Ebay import export thing.
Not that long ago any quack could buy up a couple of containers on credit and thats where the real trouble with bad engines in general came from.
