22mm Mikuni on a 6.5 clone Trouble

I just purchased a 22mm Mikuni carb from AGK with pulse fitting for the fuel pump setup. I couldn't get this thing started if my life depended on it. I bolted it on right out of the box and I can't get it started. It seems like it's getting to much gas. Every time I try to start it, it sprays gas out of the carb, with or without the choke on. I got bigger fuel lines, could this be a problem? Is there some kind of adjustment for the amount of gas being pulled in upon starting? Some one please help

Have you checked to make sure the slide is closing all the way? If that's not it pull the bowl off and make sure the float is not stuck. Don't loose the float pin... I know this sounds stupid.. ignition switch??? The fuel lines won't matter the flow is controled by the float in the bowl.

Are you using the fuel pump? If so, you might try bypassing and using gravity feed until you get it going. I am using just about the same setup as you and mine kicked right off even with the stock jetting/settings. I have never had to use my choke by the way.

I've made sure the slide is closing all the way, the float isn't stuck and I make sure the ignition switch is on. I know this sounds stupid, could I have the lines on wrong? Here is a link to the carb I purchased, affordablegokarts: 22mm Mikuni Carburetor.

The fuel line goes on the brass fitting to the right of the choke right?

You say "lines", but really you only should have the main fuel line from the pump or tank hooked up. The clear lines running off the carb are not hooked to anything.

I don't see any "extra" clear lines, coming from your carb pmoore, but just so everone knows, is the top one supply FROM the tank, the bottom one supply TO the carb, and the center "pulse" or suction to the pump, to cause fuel flow??

Your right. I pulled the clear vent tubes off of mine when I got it. Yeah, you are right about the configuration of the lines. There are arrows printed on the pump showing the flow direction. You can see the arrows in the following pic. I don't know why his carb is shooting out fuel?

Ok I got it. I checked all my lines to make sure they were connected correctly, everything was connected correctly. I know it's not the carb since I just purchased it. I could not figure out why the carb was spraying fuel out with or without the choke on until I figured to check my valves. I just upgraded my valve springs recently and I guess I didn't tighten the intake side correctly. When I pulled the cover off, I noticed the rocker arm on the intake side slipped off and shifted to the right. No Valve, No Fuel, No Start. Thank You for all your input.
