I can only vouch for Tec engines but they always are within the footprint of the engine.
Think I have a 7 hp briggs snowblower engine with starter in the barn that I can check tomorrow if that would help.
Most are set up for 120v AC though so that is going to be something to work around but...

Bolt up the Tecumseh to the bike plate and start engine, now use a hacksaw blade to slowly cut the small shaft near the housing. It will cut real nice and when that falls off now use a file to taper any rough edges. Use sandpaper after if...

Had to be kept out of light and in climate control.
They never look as good on the ceiling unless it is like a Go Kart frame only mounted upside down pan Flush and even then you have to be back too far to appreciate it, Wall gives contrast.
