Whats up OldMiniBikes, just got into go-karts thanks to one of my buddies and the speed urge has hit. i currently have a predator hemi 6.5 on my kart and wanted to bump up the power to gain top speed which is rpm bases some what and gain some more punch or power. Currently only has the governor removed...

A few pictures from yesterday. Forgot to get an after pic of the machine work. I ended up cutting .111 off the top of the wiseco piston for zero deck height. Just machined a set of soft jaws and probed and faced it off. Whole job took less than 20 mins. Sometimes it's good to be a machinist.

I have been doing some searching around here the last couple of days on how to build up a flat briggs. I noticed the brow removing was a good way to make more power with other mods. While searching for pictures of this mod, I notices some people just do the area in between the head gasket...

Measured my deck without the gasket @.035. Head gasket measured @.010. Question how tight can i run with a billet rod and a flat top piston? Max rpm 7000 to 7500.
