6.5HP engine conversion kit for Baja mini's

I put together a 6.5HP engine kit for Baja Motorsports DB-30 mini bikes. I figured I would try it here first before I list them on eBay next week.

Read my eBay description and I would like some feedback (positive or negitive) to see what people think. I want $225 + shipping for the kit

NEW 6.5HP ENGINE CONVERSION KIT MINI BIKE BAJA DB30

For sale is a 6.5hp engine conversion kit for a Baja Motorsports DB-30 mini baja bike. In about 1 to 1.5 hours with basic hand tools this kit will allow you to remove the small 2.8hp engine and replace it with a powerful 6.5hp 196cc engine. This engine conversion kit will give your mini baja bike the power to move heavier riders, climb hills and power through grass and small hills with ease.

This kit includes: a brand new Lifan 6.5hp engine, new Max-Torque clutch, custom aluminum motor mount adapter plate, clutch guard, hardware and complete detailed step by step instructions with photographs for easy installation. Your original chain, throttle cable and kill switch will work. No additional parts to buy.

This kit includes a custom aluminum motor mount that will adapt the larger 6.5hp engine to the existing slots on the bike with ease. No drilling, slotting or welding to install this larger engine. It’s a simple bolt on conversion. This adapter plate will only fit Baja Motorsports DB-30 mini baja bikes with 4 slots in the frame’s engine mount plate. Some mini baja bikes have 8 slots in the frame and the aluminum adapter supplied will not fit without modification.

The engine and other components will be shipped in the engines original box. Like all my auctions I will charge you only what shipping cost me, usually $30-$40 depending where the package is shipped.

I have installed this kit on 10 bikes I have built for myself and friends. I have sold some locally. You will not be disappointed with this kit. THE BIKE PICTURED AND INSTALLATION OF THIS KIT IS NOT INCLUDED. I have additional photos that are available upon request. Ask any questions before bidding

Where were you when I converted my Bug last week?
http://www.oldminibikes.com/forum/ph...cture_0051.jpg

That's a good idea.And$225+shipping seems a fair price. It cost me about $250 to do mine, without a custom motor plate or clutch guard, and without shipping charges.

Oh,You may want to disable the low oil shutdown function on the new motor.Mine had full oil,but if I accelerated too hard the oil sloshed to the back of the case, giving a false low oil shutdown. Some customers may not know about that, and blame you for sending them a problem engine.

Just from my experience.

Good job on your mini! I have read so many posts about engine swaps.

Sorry I missed your post. I sold a motor mount adapter plate to another member.

The kit is complete no additional parts needed. It will include a very easy to understand instruction sheet I put together (that was a big job alone)

I will consider disabling the oil shut down function. I could add this as an optional step to the instruction sheet.

Thanks for your positive comment.

I sold 3 engine kits to very satisfied customers Thanks

I don't have any more engine kits now (I will have some soon) but I do have the engine adapter plates for sale with the bolts $40 + shipping. No drilling, slotting or grinding. Makes the engine install a snap

The plates use the original slots in the frame engine mount plate so there is plenty of room for chain adjustment. I have plenty of photos of the install if any one needs assistance hooking up the 6.5 on thier doodlebug DB30
