Rupp handlebars trade??

Hey guys I am looking for a set of handlebars that are correct for the '70 rupps (u bolts welded to the bars) in really good shape. I would like to possibly trade for a real nice '71 up with mount (that I polished up) and I would also throw in my original '70 bars that are nice and straight but need rechromed as well if you want them.

I mounted the '71 setup on my Scrambler it looks good but its not correct.

I have a set that look better then what you have there off of my 70 enduro, I will have to look at them closer. I need a clutch cover for my 72 roadster2.

let me know how they look or shoot me a pic. Unfortunatly I can't help you with a clutch cover though.

I will get them out of the garage and look at them. That is ok about the cover they are hard to find. Do you have any other extra parts? I also need brake levers, recoil, I also am looking for a back rim that will fit a mini chopper.

Ok, so I got them out and looked at them. I found that they have had overspray on the base of them from people repainting the bike. I found 5 different colors on them. I used a sos pad to clean off the paint at the base, and around the u bolts. the chrome on the bars and bolts looks good, I found just a touch of rust under the bars were they meet the triple tree, and a small line were the twist grip went. both areas would not be seen. I will try to get some paint remover to take the rest off tommarrow, and get a good pic of them.

Here is a post of when I got the bike, you can see the paint on them, so you know what I have to clean off.
Think I got a good deal today..
