It came with new tires , new clone engine 5.5 , new toque converter even if it was a mix of a 30 and 40 series ,, What I likedwas that all the stock drive train was gone and sorta set up for standard go kart drive train

The Ruppester came with a 14 HP JLO two stroke engine and it had a lot of good power but what I had problems with as a Rupp dealer was if the owner went riding off road the engine would suck up tons of dirt into the unsealed ignition system and ground out the spark and ruin the good times.
I am not sure 5.5 HP will be enough power to be able to climb any hills.

Thanks for the input ,, wouldnt have a good parts manual ? The plan is to use a Clone 6.5 with a seris 30 Converter using a 7 inch driven pulley , through a Reversing transmission to a 10 -1 gear ratio ,, Electric start of course .. It wont be real fast but should have enough torque to pull , even double people sitting in it .. I looked into snowmoble engines , ultra lite engines , Larger 4 strock engines .. Even the Clone 13 hp with electic start has no charging system ,, Soooooo I guess I will see , Po said the 5.5 was real fast and surprising ,, But you may be right not enough for the weight

Nice looking Ruppster. Have fun with the project. I have a 13hp clone in my 1979 Honda Odyssey and it's a great engine with good power.
