You can get an AR10 in 308 for about 1300 or so....I'll take the 10 over the 15 anyday...the 10 costs more to shoot or course. AKs are good for bump fireing pretty much all i do with mine.

DPMS 308's are $900 on up and take Magpul mags (THE best) Or you can go $1200 and get a RRA that comes with a good trigger already and uses FAL mags. Or,,,,,, there are lots of other choices but Armelite uses their own mags.

This DPMS shorty cost me $800 NIB.

Ive never been a fan of DPMS....I was around a few armalites so I bought one...a bit more money yes....proprietary mags yes.. I use my 10 for long range plinking...if im goin to battle or killin zombies Ill grab my 91 clone and the 100 or so mags I have laying around that cost like 3 bucks each.

Sooooooooooooo..... Heyyyaaa there Uncle GTO.. I sure do hope the Easter Bunny brings me a new plinker... EVERYBODY should own one.... But I cannot afford one.. crying: I am a sad excuse for an American.. What will I do if the Terminators come? I guess I can always call up 911 or Onstar...

Neither was I but if you get the NATO chamber and put in a NM trigger you are GTG. I can get the coveted magpull mags for $16 and can run them over with a truck, unlike all of your mags.

I never cared for over priced HK anything and consider the 91 a plinker. The FAL was/is the most used 308 battle rifle in the world for a reason. (double tap finger LOL!)

I got all kinds of stuff... I WAS rasied by a 1/2 crazed Nam era Marine after all.... We will be OK... Hell, I was a survivalist at age 6... BB guns and squirrels and camp fires in the (Ewok Village) tree fort complex..... You just worry about you and yours...... ... ill give ya that the 91 is a plinker...the FAL is a far superior design....I guess ive never handled a DPMS soooooooI dont really know....I still like my AR10 75 dollar mags and all and your right you CAN NOT run them over with a truck.
