Picked up another Pontiac:

'64 Tempest wagon - 326 auto. Been wanting a '64 or '65 wagon for a long time. Needs some work on the quarter panels, and the front fenders are shot, but I have good fenders, grilles, hood etc. for it already.

I drove it home 70 miles last night. Next order of business is to throw on some Rally IIs and new tires I have sitting around.

Station wagons have become rather desireable in the last few years! That sure is a nice one.

I really miss driving wagons. They make great sleeper cars.

I'd really like a Kingswood Estate

Speaking of tempests, here's one The farmer didn't drive
eBay Motors: Pontiac : Le Mans (item 110306170567 end time Nov-09-08 20:55:42 PST)

Talk about a blind squirrel finding an acorn..the kicker is he had no idea what it was,and had a buy it now for 4k earlier in the auction. There were more than a few guys looking for hair transplants because it had a steel front clip, and most people didn't look closer until one guy actually checked the VIN off the manifest and the party started. Scott Tieman will restore it for the new owner.

The original tow bar was the first clue..

I followed that auction. Definately cool having that car come out of the woodwork.

$226,000 for a shell of a body.
