Looks sweet, as all way's, Yellowhand. 1 question though. Are the contact points all aluminum? Are you afraid of the aluminum galling? Or did you incorporate bronze bushings or another material at the pivot points?

I was able to do three projects this morning...

I made some spacer stock for the front and rear axles from billet aluminum bored and turned on a lathe...

This piece should be enough for both axles...the frame is so narrow, the spacers will be very short...

I drilled the upper rocker shaft for the strut's blind welds...

I hope to be starting the build on my Trail horse ez-rider before to long. I now have every part for it. But I'm in the middle of moving for hopefully the last time ever.

...and I made a bending jig for the struts...

I need a 135 degree inward bend followed by a 45 degree outward bend to align the struts with the lower and upper rockers...

The jig will keep everything aligned when I heat and bend the strut rods...

All the parts on this fork will eventually move in relation to each other, so it's important to keep everything in it's proper place to prevent binding...

Not quite the bend angle on the struts that I wanted, but I'll take it...I should've used a gauge instead of freehanding it...

I did use a gauge to set the rocker angles I wanted before trimming and tacking the struts into place...

The struts were blind-welded to the upper rocker shaft so no welds were visible after sanding the nubs...

Tomorrow I'll make some shock mounts and a half-dozen more bronze retainers, and then it's sanding and fitting...

It's very tight right now, but the struts and rockers move in the proper arc...it just needs some smoothing of the bores and a little grease...

...and copious amounts of blue threadlocker on the retainer screws once it's finally assembled.
