Yes jeep, Thats all old grease. Just open it up, clean it out and fill er up with gear oil.

I've also seen a vid on Youtube that used a hydraulic system.

WOW i never saw that hydrolic bike vid, how does that work? it looked cool but didnt look like it climbed the hills to good. cant wait to start one

The only problem I see with using hydraulic for power transmission is coasting. You have none.

I think the reason it sound like it's having problem climb the bumps/hill is because the driver has to control the gas and engage the hydraulic pump.

Thats wild. Hydro is out of my territory. Kinda like electrical systems. I like to see moving parts so i can see exactly whats happening. It took a hell of alot of work to build that thing.
I got a bit of work done on it today. I went to the junk yard and got shocks and foot pegs and more chain and some gears. I got beefier sprockets for the chain that goes from the jackshaft to the u joint so now ill be using all #41 chain. Also got the heim joints for the neck and got started on getting them on.

Got the frame pretty much together





For color im thinkin yellow / black somthing like these. I dont really like yellow on anything but these look pretty good. I may still go to somthing completely different. Im only thinking yellow because the deere trax stickers are yellow. I may go with a dark green with yellow pinstripes or somthing. Not deere green
