Tote Gote Nova 680 project

Well I'm finally going to get started on the Nova. I've had it for about 5 months and now it's time to tear it apart.

I need to know a little more about the throttle control on it. It has an internal type twist grip and I can't figure out how to get the thing off the handle bar. I don't want to wreck it, so I figure I'd better ask some of you guys. Any help would be great.
