well i found out that the 60t sprocket i just got wont work with my caliper. the sprocket is a lil to small, the caliper has enough room just to bite down on the teeth of the sprocket so i guess ill get the 72t sprocket and that should give the caliper enough room to bite down and have enough room for the chain to clear. i gave the 60t sprocket to a co-worker and hes gonna drill the bolt holes this weekend. he said he can get them perfect, so im just gonna use the 60t untill i get the 72t and ride it with no brake for now. yes tblumer, time is ticking away. but damnit, brake or no brake i will be riding on my b-day. time is ticking away for your b-day to, happy early b-day tblumber. didnt you say it was on the 21st? im bad with b-days

my sprocket is ready to be mounted. and i made a bracket for my caliper, which ill weld to the frame as soon as i get the 72t sprocket. so now i need to go and get some nuts and bolts, and spacers for the sprocket. and most of all i need spacers for my axles to center the wheels. if everything goes rite, it should be rideable tomorrow (minus the brake) ive been talking to a co-worker about my bike and he has a few good ideas. ive worked with him in the past at another job, 3 years later we are working together again. hes a frigging genious. we have a lathe at work, and he has one at his house. so he makes me some stuff and i hook him up with some carbon fiber. enough rambling for now.

i came home from work today all excited to mount the engine and put the chain on. i bolted the engine down, then cut the chain to length. i wraped the chain around the sprocket then around the clutch and i was ready to put the master link on and realized that the chain hits the frame i could cut off the engine plate and move it over 3/4" but i dont want the engine moved over anymore than it is, or get a new crank that has a longer shaft so i can turn the clutch around so that the sprocket side of the clutch will be facing the engine. DAMN IT. does anyone know if i could get a longer crank that has a longer shaft. any help is appreciated. thanks.
