fast mini

I want to build a fast mini bike for fun, I found a Street leagal 2003 honda clone dirt bike with a 5 speed 250cc engine with a standard tranny! for 500.00 would that be faster than a blockzilla

Two very different power packages, one thing for sure is the 250 setup will save you a ton of money over the blockzilla while producing respectable power, but it will never be as cool as the blockzilla (those flatheads are just plain beautiful). I have a 250 CZ (2 stroke) engine in one of my old minis and it is scary fast

for 500.00 I thought it would be the best bang for the buck. I have a stock 6.5 clone now but its not as fast as I thought it would be. should I just get the tav 2 or the bike for 500.00 and strip it for the engine and brakes

Your call, you have to live with it, I am currently building a trick 6.5 now and I'm excited about it even though my CZ mini is ready and able to perform at a much higher level, it's all about the quest, build, ride, and build some more.

My CZ mini was conceived as a specialty machine used primarily for our annual trip to El Mirage Dry Lake Bed where we wind it up to full blast, it is jack shafted and will do 70mph.
The current 6.5 will be used locally and will be geared for 45mph, much more user-friendly.
Follow your heart and do what you like, and everyone else will probably like it too.
