Grinder Bit???

Is there a tool that I could use in my drillpress that would allow me to grind on metal. I wish I could explain it a little better. Any help would be great. Thanks....Vince

I don't think that is a good Idea at all it would be hard on the bearings in the drill press they were design to handle downward pressure not side loads that a grinding bit would exert on the bearings. The results would be slop in the bearings and you would have trouble with the accuracy of the drilling function .

You could get a vertical milling machine...

They perform all the functions of a drill press, plus they can be fitted with end mills that remove material by cutting, not grinding...
