air needle scaler

I have a frame for the mystery trike that has 2 1/2 coats of paint on it and it is too big for my sand blast cabinet. Harbor Freight sells a needle scaler for
$39.00 . Has anyone ever used one to remove paint ? My knife edge works for the tubing pretty good but all the inside and out side corners are hard to do that way. Local sand blast shops want $1.75 per min at one shop and $125.00 at another. Would be interested in hearing how others handle the paint removal from their frames.

I've used a pressure washer before. I've always thought of getting a needle scaler but never did.

if i cant sand blast, i'll take a wire wheel on my 4 1/2" grinder. i like the big knotted type, but really, make sure you're wearing safety glasses cause those little bastards hurt.

A Needle gun? We were told that they work great for houses, to remove lead based paint, Steve, aren't you talking for little crevises, bends and such? I'd think that it would be a waste of time, and your cash, Maybe you aught to look at Harbor freight's little tank sandblaster, not the siphon fed one . the one that has air pressure push behind it, I wish I had more time to post a pic odf it for ya bud, cause all it is is a gun, hoses, valves, and what looks like a propane tank, for a bar be que grill, you should at least go look at it, cause as smart as you are you could probably build your own, then one OMB member came up with the ideal of using a kids swimming pool to catch the sand, and a shop vac to clean it up, to sift and reuse, using a needle gun on steel is liable to cause the needles to dull I'd think.

Stupid me I had one of the small pots but sold it last summer in a garage sale I had . I guess it's back to hand scraping and power wire brushing. Thanks for the input gang.

For my build off bike I used a 7 inch angle grinder with a wire cup. Then for the spots I could not get to I used a small hand held Sand blaster with the hopper on top from Harbor Freight.

Used them on dredges to constantly remove paint bubbles and rust then repaint. Does not leave a nice surface, and your constantly replacing the needles. Basically, it's like taking a hammer a beating the rust off.
