Isnt the SFVISB still running?

Or we could always Become outlaws and if they pull us over, tell them that were riding for a good cause

I was kinda thinking this thread may pop up. I believe Mr. Paul wants to do the run, I fear it's getting the Police to agree is getting more difficult on Paul.

I for one would like to see it continue.

TT out~

Are the cops really going to go through all the trouble to stop 40+ minibikes riding for a good cause?
You obviously miss the point - If you want to organize an illegal street ride, you should; but the point of the Toys for Tots ride was to donate toys to the LAPD, thru the West Valley Station, while providing us with an unbelievable minibike riding experience! They would probably not accept gifts from "40+ minibikes" that rode to the station illegally; ticketing us would seem more probable!!

I love illegal street riding, do it all the time out behind my shop in the industrial area, but I would not ride around the San Fernando Valley in a big group! That sounds like trouble begging to happen!

I have initiated talks with the appropriate officer at West Valley and he is currently seeing if his superiors want to exspend the resources necessary to do it again! I have offered up a better deal for both them and us and hope it is enough to sway them! There were comments made last time by them about the expense involved in giving us 8 squad cars for as long as it lasted, and ultimately that will be what they must decide on!

FYI, I have also been in preliminary conversation with the appropriate officer here in Camarillo to see if they are interested in anything similiar, and have even offered to include a Christmas 2010 Bike and Helmet giveaway as part of the activity.

Thankfully the most disruptive force we had to deal with is gone, please don't anyone else take over that position. This website and our hobby are for fun, let's keep it that way! If you have the need to always disagree and quarrel, please take it elsewhere, at least that is my opinion!!

Why not someone else setup there own Toys For Tots race?
All we did was meet up at Atomic and then take off. That can be done at someone else house, and it will still be for a good cause.

All you need is stickers, copies of a map of the area, 2 dozen donuts, and say go!

YES they would Paul, we have done it before. Even if we were Crackhead Zombie's they would take the presents. The toys are given to the local fire station. Your the perfect candidate to set up everything.

Last year we rode for a long time, no signals, no stopping; it was incredible, and certainly worth the trouble to try and get set up again! There is no guarantee they, the fuzz, want to do it again, he is already late in getting back to me. Also, if some do decide to do an illegal run, that can be organized after we find out that the LAPD is not interested; but we might as well give it a chance!
Unfortunately for me, and a few others, while being part of a large illegal pack riding around would be a ton of fun, if it went bad it would not be acceptable to my business associates, and given the sorry state of the economy, nobody in business can afford even the threat of local bad press! It's the shits being an adult, but sometimes you just have to be!!
I'm the perfect candidate huh; I love you too Charles, but I suspect that the perfect candidate (pronounced s u c k e r) is anybody willing to do the work, right?? lmao

No, not a police escort parade of minibikes. I seen the video, slow and boring.
The year before that is was teams of 2, illegally, and it was a race to see who can do it faster. Way more fun!

:surrender: Hey Now! :detective:
I put a call in to an interested LA County Sheriff who gave us a card last year after hearing about the ride. I will touch base again and see if he can get us an escort. We talked briefly of a ride from Baca HQ to Toys-r Us in Alhambra then back to Baca HQ again .... assembling/ending on the hill by Sibil Brand Correction Center located above Baca Center (closed)

Just talk now ... (Do not count any chickens yet) .... but keep your fingers crossed! :thefinger: OK not those ...

:xmas-smiley-016: LA County Fireshops' Annual Car Show was posted today a post will follow soon with address and date/time! So dust off your classics!

Keep On Ridin' :scooter:
