Brand new Tecumseh HM100, epoxy ported, valve brow area cleaned up, HD valve springs, billet retainers, governor removed, cam degreed, timing set to 27 degrees, stock adjustable carb on gas, billet filter adapter, 10 tooth torque converter, 54 tooth rear. I'm real afraid of the stock rod, although I've had a couple tractor pullers tell me that they go 8000 with a stock HM80-100 rod. NOT ME! I'm getting a billet rod for it. I'm considering going to a different carb. Any suggestions? PZ-30 maybe? It's got gobs of torque. Oh yeah Hent, I just use screw drivers to hold it all together. You believe me, don't you? LOL. I've also got Briggs, and Tecumseh stuff for sale. Take it easy.
Look for a 30mm Lectron carb. There very easy to setup, and make tons of power. I have ran modifed Star motor, which is pretty much close to the same thing the HM100 is.
Try to get a billet rod. Or you can have the crank journal turned down, and run a 4.5" long billet ARC rod with a JE dome piston.
Hey do you have or know where I can get some High Performance Parts for my Briggs&Stratton 5 hp and my Teschumsa 8hp. I already got a carb off of a 14 hp on the 8hp motor but want a little better can due to the cam in it now was meant for a parkinglot vacuume. I am always running 5 hp Briggs on most of my minis ive built or am building so its more important for me to get some of them parts . thanks for your time bro!
