Thanks so much for responding. I did try move the governor spring to closest hole to the block and it did the same thing.

Just bought an MB200. Added a stage 1 kit with no other modifications. Hadn't planned on removing the govenor. I can get it started and idling just fine, but every time I rev it the govenor seems to kick in early and then it sort of bounces back and forth. I didn't know the right way to explain...
