I'm stoked to watch this project take shape!

    Bucket list mini bike build

I really like the chain to keep the mini bike from "walking off". That's an issue sometimes.

    Stock chikunis move fuel!

There is a YouTuber that ran a mild Ford 302 V8 on a lawnmower carburetor in a 70's Ford Maverick. Even drove it on power tour 2022. He put it on a dyno while on power tour. It significantly cut the performance but mpg did increase significantly. Below are links to the videos. Well worth the...

having trouble with mini bike build

Not all small engines were intended for Mini Bike. So not all output shafts are tapped. But over the tears can find their way onto mini bikes. I would tap the outshaft. Harbor freight has cheap sets. I own an SAE and a Metric set. They are handy to have on hand...

    Maybe a homemade fox campus?

That's my fox campus, when I first acquired it. Doesn't quite look like that anymore. Haha The Fox Sprite and Doodlebug frames look pretty similar. Simple hardtail frames.

    Work smarter, not harder

We get all manner of wildlife through the yard. Easily 10 or more deer a night. The other day there was about 12 Sandhill cranes.

    Coleman B200R engine swap - Honda GX390

Once a year oil changes are pretty standard on small engines. That's what I do on my riding mower and... I hate to admit it, but it has more hours on it than my mini bike.

Need help picking a rear wheel that will work

This thread will answer why those links don't work here. Best to get parts from Hent.com . https://oldminibikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/what-do-you-know-about-oldminibikes-com.172485/

    Work smarter, not harder

I live out as well. I like having some breathing room. Can't live in a neighborhood. Don't like the idea of a busy body with too much time on their hands telling me what I can and can't do on my property. Especially if they aren't paying the mortgage. Also my hobbies just don't fit in well with...

Need help picking a rear wheel that will work

To build on this if you aren't comfortable drilling into the frame you could make a plate for the pillow blocks to bolt to. Then those plates are u-bolted to the frame. BE WARNED this would not be the most solid mounting solution, but would be more forgiving and allow for adjustment if you...

Need help picking a rear wheel that will work

The critical part for any jackshaft set up will be making sure everything is square and straight.

Need help picking a rear wheel that will work

Since no one has thrown it out there yet. I'll toss out the backyard redneck way. You could use pillow block bearings and drill through the frame and just bolt in a jackshaft set up. Though I will note that welding on bearing hangers for a jackshaft is the proper method.

    Coleman B200R engine swap - Honda GX390

You are welcome. I'd keep the mini bike for off road use. Like @Mr. Pink said. Even if you did get it registered and street legal. You would probably get stopped by the cops a lot with questions. Mini bikes on the street are just always associated with being a hooligan. Even if you aren't acting...

    Coleman B200R engine swap - Honda GX390

If money isn't an issue, you are willing to get it registered, you want to run 50 mph, and commute 40 miles round trip. You'd be better off with a small motorcycle, not a mini bike. To buy and build what you are describing would be about the same cost roughly as a used small motorcycle, but the...

What solvent are you using for cleaning Carburetors

You're welcome. This one worked well. Though it might have convinced me to get a bigger machine. We'll see how many carburetors I end up cleaning in the future.

    Anybody know what this is?

Saw this one for sale. Figured it it was homemade, but with good bending skill/tools. The rear hub set up was a head scratcher as well. A cover makes sense.

What solvent are you using for cleaning Carburetors

Though in the end I used this ultrasonic carburetor solution on Amazon. Pretty much just a degreaser that is safe for aluminum. Though at times I did just use regular water with a little dish soap in the last cleanings. I really would have like to use Berrymen's or Gunk carb cleaners. But with...

What solvent are you using for cleaning Carburetors

Sorry you are right @creia. I was a bit of a tease there. For the first run I used a mixture of water, vinegar, and baking soda. Just because I was curious and I had it on hand. It did pretty well.

What solvent are you using for cleaning Carburetors

Decided to try to clean a very sorely neglected CT70 carb I got with a basket case CT70. Considering where it started, compared to where it ended up. It did pretty good. The ultrasonic cleaner removed most of the grime. But on the heavy corrosion and varnished fuel. I did have to bring out a...
