I am sure you turned off the fuel at the carb, correct? That valve could be stuck closed now, maybe it turns on the outside but not internally. Check to see if the bowl has fuel in it. Rejetting should not keep it from starting, there is something else going on here.

That front end suspension makes up for the cost! $300 seems more reasonable though.

You can run a distribution block and a proportion valve to lessen the front pressure. That starts to be alittle more costly then what most want to spend though. Or if u know how to control your hand then just mount the caliper. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

Mechanical can not compare to hydraulic, I have tested three different DB30's before and after the upgrade. The mechanical is just scary and unsafe for anyone! All DB30's have 6.5hp motors also. You can run a distribution block with brake bias, put more pressure to the back then front. And...

Going with the dirt bike tire up front makes you loose the look and feel of the fat tire DB30. It would look like a hybrid pit bike/mini bike. But, yeah I didn't think it would sell for a price that would pay for my labor and welding consumables.

If it has enough fuel spitting out the exhaust to backfire then its too rich! I don't have a 270 carb so I couldn't tell you. You should see a good amount of smoke if its rich also.

I have fabbed up a front end for the Doodlebug and I was wondering if anybody would be interested in buying these and what would be the price range the someone would be willing to pay? It would be a direct bolton front end with no modding and I would offer the stock spring rate for riders...

The 6.5hp motor is great on the db30, play on any mods to yours? I am sure its more then enough for the wife.

The torque converter would be great...sounds like the only other option other then turning that crank down!:thumbsup: I will be faster then with just the sprocket anyway. This would be a better overal setup. I might do this on my mini bike one day.
