eh, i am going to do a few things now while it is all apart. i guess so. i will just remove the governor, put in 18lb springs, a raging plug, and the crank. but i will see what happens/c :shrug:

one more thing, should i gt a advancement key to adjust the timing? if so, what amount will do what to the power, say a 4 degre advance vs retard?

LOL i probly will, ALSO i just realized, this engine has a FLAT TOP PISTON! do they come stock with flat tops? it does not look like it has ever been opened up before.....

that would be great, but i don't know of a machine shop near by, except for my high school, but they don't have a FUNCTIONING lath. i DO already have a used 3/4 clutch i was planing to use, but it is pretty well worn, it was of my baja mini bike. i will see what i can find.

ok, ALSO one more thing lol, would it be good to advance or retard the valve tming by one tooth? wich would be better, and or give me more torque? or would that be detrimental to the engine performance?

ok, i know OldMiniBikes has a 200 crank for 40, and getting one OEM ant parts tree is 150, where else do you suppose i look?

i have a old 5.5 genuine Honda i got from a lawnmower place, traded for it with a $80 chain saw i got running from the dump. ive had it for a wile. i cleaned the carb and i got it running good. the one issue is the old pressure washer pump was stuck on the crank, he soon cut it and its about 1.2...

yea, but it only happens at serten times, not really supporting the something loose on the chassis, but ill check tomorrow. thx

i have 2 gx200 clones, one well broken in and one almost brand new. i noticed a knocking in my old one. hard to explain but it happens when the engine is cold, it knocks at idle and when reeving. not for long periods of time. when warn, it seems OK. but it always happens when it is shutting off...

oh I thought the carbs are different sizes.so a GX 390 carb will fit on a gx200 spokes without changing anything? Spokes as in the bolts that the carburetor slides onto.

I have tomany questions, will this head fit a gx200? Cylinder Head for Clone - HI COMP 18cc i know it says " Seats are for standard 196cc Clone, Predator 212cc or Honda GX200 valves." but will the head fit on a gx200 block?

so, does a gx390 carb fit right on the a gx200? or do i have to build a manifold?:grind:

ok, of topic a little, but i bought an old honda pressure washer engine. its a gx 160 5.5 hp, whats diameter of the shaft?

just to note, i probably will go billet rod and fly wheel, but im told 3 different limits, first, engine W/O governor every thing else stock can go 10000 rpm, then over 6000-6500 need billet R&FW (Rod & fly wheel) then over 3600 need billet R&FW. just funny.:out: any why thanks for the help, ill...

so, will a smaller carb give me more low end power? why not the larger, i dont care about fuel economy to much.
