    Bird nighthawk forks

I tried to break down the forks on my bird with no luck. (Here is my build if you care: http://www.oldminibikes.com/forum/project-logs/42652-bird-nighthawk-project.html ) There is a specific post I did in that thread regarding the forks (dated 2/4/2011). I ended up taking a grinder to the...

    John Deere ATV

I always get a kick out of the custom machines I seen cruising the dunes. A John Deere tractor would be a first for me, and I've spent a fair amount of times at the dunes. I'd love to see a John Deere that could go up some of my favorite sand dune hill climbs. Sounds like a very expensive...

its time to stand up and heard not sit and be quiet

Pretty sure discussing this issue in the off-topic section of a mini bike forum is just fine. Not only that, but it seems to me the entire point of the original post is to encourage those who might not otherwise do or say anything about the topic. A post like this on an NRA forum is preaching...

Last year he got 4 wheels, This year will be two

What a fun Christmas gift. If he's anything like me and my brothers, he'll never be the same. We got hooked as kids. My brother ultimately ended up with a career in the industry, and just today sent me a text that he met Jeremy McGrath.

News Story... Go Kart on Highway

That made me laugh. I'm down for a good joy ride, but I choose empty streets and don't try to drift (or whatever it was he was trying to do).

    Bird Nighthawk Project

Update: This bike has been a blast. (Still not as fun as my childhood Coyote, though.) Bike is still going strong. Had a good snow storm about a month ago: Testing lil pp in the snow - YouTube

    kidney stones

Warning: This post may contain TMI. I've been passing kidney stones for way too long. I've had lithotripsy several times. The problem with that is that you never get to see the crown jewel because you only end up passing sand. However, I did manage to pass this one naturally. I tell my wife...

    Bird Nighthawk Project

Well, Pink Panic has provided lots of fun this winter and is running strong (Predator 212). We've had such a mild winter in Utah this year that we've been able to have many back yard races this winter. I was itching to go on an ATV ride this weekend, and my nephew wanted to go too. He...

Do U Trail ride, Drag or Street ride mostly

I bought a mini for my wife thinking we could do some trail riding. Bird Nighthawks are terrible on any trail that may have a small rock on its path, so its almost all street. Some campground riding when the nephews are around.

    Snapped My Collar Bone

Take the surgery if the doc says its an option. I opted not to and it took a long time to heal up. Still hurts to do push-ups to this day (3.5 years later). I broke mine in a motorcycle crash (road bike- hit dear). The worst part was passing an 11mm kidney stone a few weeks later that 'broke...

    Does anybody do sleds

I used to work at a motorsports shop in eastern Idaho, and I would take out the machines (sleds in winter, PWC in summer, ATVs) to "make sure they were running correctly." Miss those days. Some of the greatest snowmobiling in the country was in my backyard.

    Pink Minibike

I did this pink Bird for my wife. We call it Pink Panic, or lil PP for short. Thats always good for a laugh. I should have gone with a more gender neutral color because my nephews ride it more than my wife. Oh Well, everyone has fun on it.

DirtWheels magazine just did an article about this machine. I think in was either the September or October 2011 issue, if you care to read it.

Anybody seen the "stupid people own guns too" video?

Whether or not that video is real, there are certainly people dumb enough to do something like that. I personally saw a guy at a police academy firing range "clear" his gun at the reload table by pulling the trigger. It still had a round in the chamber, and he's lucky he didn't kill someone...

    Fuel line/filter for clone

Here is what I did: I also used 1/4 fuel line to run from the mini bike's gas tank to the Predator carb; however, I left the Predator's OEM fuel line in place. I ran the 1/4 line from the tank to a 1/4 filter (there is also an additional shut-off valve in my line). The Predator's OEM line...
