    Terra two piece

Whatever you choose, I’m sure it will look great. Black isn’t a bad choice imo.

    Terra two piece

Yes, that’s the critter gun. I have automotive spray guns as well, but the critter makes it easy to spray, clean and seal. It will not put out the coverage for larger jobs, but gas tanks and engine covers it would be ideal.

    Terra two piece

Can’t wait to see it. Not sure how helpful this is but you mentioned being limited to spray paint. Have you ever tried a critter spray gun? Simple mason jar spray gun, easy to clean and you can use whatever mason jars you have so it’s possible to store paint in the used mason jar for future...

    Our minibike guru gone?

Though I respected Markus immensely, I did not have the opportunity to forge as strong of a relationship as many of our members have. That said, beyond his vast knowledge and generosity he taught me a valuable life lesson.. be passionate about whichever path you choose within our limited time...

What is the first for the HS50 engines ?

I don’t mean to hijack but I do have a quick question about “correct” when it comes to air filter housings. Why are some drilled and others of the mushroom design? Was it strictly a year based design change, or is there more to it? Thanks

    Eastwood 2K Aerospray High Gloss

As said, you should wear a respirator with 2K paint. Second, 2k epoxy primer should not be overlooked. These calipers are 2k clear Spray max over caliper paint. They looked like candy and the finish held up. It’s the best that you can get in a spray can.

    LH195 compression release explained

3 kids, 2 dogs… so no I didn’t let it fully cure before assembling… I guess that was a good thing this time. You make a good point Mark, thank you.

    LH195 compression release explained

Did a little more work and now I'm calling quits for the day. Made an exhaust flange from a leaf spring shackle I had in my scraps and I also found a bicycle seat post I like for exhaust. It necks down which is what I liked about it. The more I think about it, the less likely I am to use it...

    HS50 recoil on LH195 question

That still has the look I want, thanks. I’ll keep an eye out for one. Out of curiosity, have you ever set a timing mark and taken a timing reading from any of your small block Tecumseh engines?

    LH195 compression release explained

Lmao… yes, a bit generous at that. I did use a gasket though and torqued accordingly in a star pattern. It shouldn’t leak… EVER! lol

    LH195 compression release explained

I made a quick video today explaining how the mechanical compression release works. Though I’ve seen pics of the mechanism, this was a first for me to have it in my hands. Enjoy

    HS50 recoil on LH195 question

I had a chance to work on this engine today and it appears that you could install the HS50 shroud and recoil however the shroud is right up against the ignition coil. So, the cyclone style cover will go on for now. That said, I did see a way to make it fit properly and perhaps give an option...

    HS50 recoil on LH195 question

When using a HS50 shroud and recoil to replace the cyclone recoil and shroud on LH195, can I reuse the starter cup from the LH engine? *The HS50 is 1982 with 1 leg type recoil.

That was exactly the direction I was heading. Cheers!

Picked up this 2013 mini bike today

You have me thinking I should just move the back wheel a couple inches rearward to make it more stable. Then either relocate the scrub brake or cut it off and go disc. Thanks for sharing your experiences to help make this a safe ride for my boy!

I’m thinking of going with a 2 stroke. I appreciate the fair warning, (note to self no torque converter).

Picked up this 2013 mini bike today

No sense in making another thread, but I just picked this one up too. Thank you @Triley41395 and @manchester1 for helping me identify the bike. This will be perfect for my 11yr old once done! Now I have 3 non-rideable bikes… better get to work!
