    Triangle symbol on throttle housing

Nobody asked me but if you look at it closely it appears throttle cable stops on each end of the line and arrow indicating throttle twist direction to advance engine speed. Think that circle is a universal engine symbol. What it appears to me. Now maybe somebody will know what it really is...

    Muffler dents?

I did laugh at that one litteraly myself, thats actually pretty brilliant, the tape acting as a fast fuse pressure relief valve. Il keep that one in mind myself. Simple and effective i am sure. Great back yard fun tip with purpose.

    Wheelie Bars Question?

Good looking set of bars. If you do find your still folding them up on hard launches perhaps try ring rolling a slight arc radius to your upper supports. Shouldn't add much weight for the minimal added length to the tubes as long as your not trying to form a hula-hoop. Look at a flat bed...

The Vintage Mini Bike Family Photo Scrapbook

Definately better days for short legged folks. You could by a 250cc machine with a 25 inch seat height! Now you would need to be 6'1" to ride the same displacement flat footed at a rest.

    46 or 47 Motoscoot scooter

Try looking in Peterson Lighting master catalog on pg. 251 or so. There part# 100 15R looks like a close aftermarket candidate. Think its .750" tall by 2.25" in diameter if my reading is close.

Any tricks for restoring old rubbers?

Ha good point! Another reason they could be like hens teeth. Dont think i ever had one on a bicycle longer than 2 days myself. Not to mention the clutch heat on these distorts them out of form such as this one if you look close at it. The builder folks im sure figured they would last as long as...

Any tricks for restoring old rubbers?

Thanks for the input, ya tire shine products are whats closest available. Rubber rejuvenator products i can order but ive used before and there about as good as tire shine and much more costly. Was just looking to condition them more than shine really to perhaps give them another 50 years. Il...

    Help with spark issues

Because im not so familar with Tecumseh coil setups on the outside of the flywheel but worst case do Briggs magnetron units fit on a Tec coil setup? They are really simple to retrofit on a briggs coil of course. Just wondered how different the Tec coils were versus Briggs in width and fitment...

JB weld doesn't work very well to build intake manifold

Thats the results of an Eastwood 180 pretty much straight out the box with gas hooked up. My first of 5 or so welds. The plate was a setup piece thats why its mostly weld on the plate, makes the zip wheel disassembly and smoothing out easier. The other is a centerstand repair on an old Bird of...
