No idea, but it’s cool. Does that transmission have a manufacture on it, anywhere? It doesn’t look familiar to me, either.

I use the same QD system on my remote/maintenance tank. Disconnect the female side, last photo, plug it into the bike’s QD and drain away.

…only get the kind that stops flow instantly, from both ends, when disconnected. a second QD, attached to a length of fuel line, makes draining simple. I even run one on my remote, IV-like tank, used for maintenance.

I guess it’s a case by case/preference thing. My case is, multiple riders put up for the winter, in an open flame heated building. I store what little fuel is left, in my unheated, garden shed. Motorcycles & Minibikes with venting fuel tanks do not share the same space with me & the kerosene...

I drain all fuel, change the oil & put a stand under ‘em, whenever they’re going to sit a while. I like to keep the stationary weight of the bike, off the tires, whenever they won’t be rotated for a while.

Yup. Not even close to the affordable, fun, hobby, it used to be. So grateful, that I was a kid in the 60’/70’s.

This is how I did, mine. Fabbed an aluminum backing plate to match the shrouds shape. The shroud attaches to the plate, which remain in place if shroud needs to be removed. Window cut through the “top” for chain to pass through. The chrome mesh screen was a Wok strainer. I cut the handle off it...

I sold an NOS one recently, for $1,500. We both thought, that was a lot.

…used to take .22 rimfires, pull off the projectile, dump most of the powder out & push the near empty case into a block of beeswax. The primer alone was enough to ”fire” the wax. Non-lethal & quieter, pest control.

Bike has been sold to a friend that I met through this hobby & forum. For his grandkids. How cool is that!
