Super nice workmanship, sticktoitiveness and end result. I love creative problem solving done well. Teamwork was spot on. Thanks for the build log step by step. Be cool, freezerburn
Hello folks, I believe they came with 3.5" but I kinda like the look of the 4" 'ers. Will they work and not rub anywhere like forks to bottom of fender or chain line/frame?
I'll be posting up some pics when I get home of the bike. The stock 50cc is being replaces with a 125 high compression...
Good stuff folks. I'll check for the rattle upon re rebuild.. Spring seemed a tad week to me too but linkages seem to be working okay along with the spring..
What is 'u link on left side of motor? Thanks people I'll look into it:) -freezer'
Checker flag pattern on the rear seat cover too-
I'm not lookng forward to doing that again, whew! That's a small block chevy (reuseable) valve cover breathe for an air filter. 13/8" i.d. as I recall
Daisy kicks butt
I have studded tires for this bike too and run it year round.. a serious stump jumper, forgive the improper placement of the pics, mods:(
Here's a shot of it-
I sawed the front 1 1/2" off the front of the seat where the hinge goes and choked up on the shock mount holes to compensate on the other end. The wood had rotted slightly in those areas. New belts from Ron and a side plastic torque converter cover plus air filters. Marine...
Super Bronc (10hp) VT 1012 idles but no acceleration..
Hello folks, it idles fine enough but it will only accelerate well if I hold the linkage by hand and pull.. and hold onto my a$$ with my cheeks, lol. Any way with one hand on the bars only it's :out: So it won't accelerate enough to go...

robk, observations both ways in regards to stock ohv and L heads. but really, the first sentence of the thread was just an observation... but as you stated- there are many factors involved in outputs. i guess i started with a leading question to anyones thoughts on the subject of what folks like...
but guys, guys, guys-
196- 212cc -a difference of 14cc's for the same output? ooooohh woooowwww... and basically the same weight too? this is negligible imho. i must re-emphasize Stock Form, as that is how they were engineered- what they are, as they are and what they are made to do all day...
gee, i dont know what it goes on factory but a quick visit to the local rubber supply (which usually stock many brass fittings as well) would put that on my tec! i like sediment trap/ filters. my old '74 xl350 (creampie bike!) had one but the bowl was metal.
thanks robk,
i understand that they (ohv) are more efficient but whats with the cc's being in most cases almost identical? wtf? mileage? who gives a :censure:? its a mini...
