    Personal speed record!

He guys, I haven't been around in quite some time. I just wanted throw my 2 bucks in here (inflation, sheesh, used to be 2 cents). Anyway, my personal speed record on a mini was last year on my Sears & Roebuck/ Roper 5hp Briggs. 47.924mph on level ground. Got up to full speed in about 4 blocks...

    Question about 2 speed jackshaft

When the engine clutch engages the jackshaft will only travel as fast as the engine clutch pulls the bike, until it gets to the rpm that engages the clutch on the jackshaft. that's when the second gear (on the jackshaft clutch) kicks in to pull it even faster, Now you have two clutches pulling...

Please Keep my family in your Prayers...

Dennis, I'm sorry to hear about your nephew. I'm real close to my oldest nephew too. I was 13 when he was born and saw him grow because he was always around and we're still close, but now he's 5 hours away. We got a lot closer even through the distance nearly 3 years ago when his mom died...

    Show Off Your Trike!!!

I have a Dunecycle with the 5hp Briggs on it. It was a dull silver with a yellow fiberglass seat when I got it. Now, blue & yellow theme with flames on the fender. We ride it in several parades each year. I also have my custom One-off chopper trike that I built from scratch with a Briggs 6.5hp...

    Fire Extinguisher Fuel Tank

Thanks MDB. I don't have it any more. I let a buddy use it on his vitage race kart and it came lose and got ran over on the track. It was pretty much roadkill so I tossed it.

RUPP's first year and model Mini Bike

Hey Don, I'm not sure where the term "minibike" was coined, but I do know that the term "go kart" was coined by one of Art Ingals' and Duffy Livingstone's buddies back in or around 1956-57. I'd be interested in findng out the history behind the mini bike thing myself. If & when you find out...

Really want to I.D. this Kart

It's definitely a fun kart, not race. I've never seen one like this, but the jackshaft/motor mount looks a lot like Alsport or the like. Could have been built by a trike mfg. Very cool looking frame design. I like the roll cage rear end. Looks like a blast for your nephew.

I've always wanted a Dart cycle. They are one of the coolest "little" minis ever. Pretty rare too.
