If compression is holding at 65 maybe just mill the head.

The stock rod in a clone will hot seize and feel like a higher rpm jetting problem and will die from drag sometimes. Then you let it cool off and it will start and idle and run but is just a matter of time before it blows up.

I’m sorry man and I see everyone else is being nice but that hack job you just caked on your motor is just wrong. If youre going to go to the measuring valve lengths to make thing correct you should go the extra gasket mile.

That’s going backwards.

Doubt that motor could turn that gear ratio other than pointed downhill. You should shoot for at least a 6.1 gear ratio.

Explain relocating tanks? Both of those motors should work fine on a Gote but the orange one will be very low powered.

A real gx motor would have a better casting and is a better block.

If I remember correctly as I did a similar build I used Honda gx 200 push rods.

That sure doesn’t look very far gone. I’d clean that old girl good and run it. Sweaty vintage is way cooler than shiny fancy vintage.
