I'm having a issue with sliding the new clutch on to the new predator 212 engine. I tried 2 new clutches and still I cannot get it to slide on with ease:confused:.
Any advice would be nice.
The title sais it all my bike sit for around a year and will not start any ideas how I can get it going again? This engine is also semi new it was only used around five times.
Just put a brand new 212 on my doodle bug and noticed oil splatter coming out from the crank case where the shaft comes out. The oil is making it's way into the clutch and is being tossed all over the bike and my pants leg.
I filled with with 10w30 per the instructions and maybe have 15...
I thought I would share my bikes current state. I have been focused on modding it rather than making it look pretty. Once I am done I will give some new paint. BTW this was a $125 craigslist find.

I have a Predator 212cc engine that dies when I turn the choke off. I got the engine back in the summer and I used it almost every week up until 2 months ago. After 2 months of sitting I tried to start it and it only runs with the choke on.
My first mini bike build, a $60 yard sale impulse purchase turned slightly obsessive project. Ending in a photo shoot at the Hippie Killer Car Show in Southern California. All a bit strange for an English bloke.
Almost done, needs hydraulic brakes as I don't always have a football pitch of braking distance available to me, and I forgot to but new grips so I re-installed the beaten up and broken old ones for now.
I wanted a 70's retro bling sort of look. Base coat black, taped off for gold flake, and then faded in candy apple red flake. Then sanded back lightly to give a vintage look, and first of many coats of clear. This is my first mini bike build and my first paint job. It was a lot of work but fun.

Faded original powder coating, not pretty but rust free so it did its job! I wanted more 70's glitz though so time to tear it all down and get out the 3M scuff pads and sand paper
Original brake, changed the pads ... still not really effective it slows it down but now it has about 10 horses it needs more, that is next on the to do list.
