I have a Wards 525 that I recently purchased.
It runs and drives well but it doesn't have the correct drive system on it. It is just a clutch with a belt to a fixed pulley.
It works pretty good but I want more torque and lower "gearing" for acceleration. A torque converter gives that.
I am doing a correct restoration of a wards XE525. I have about everything I need except the 5 hard-to-find exhaust pieces. Is anyone reproducing these or does anyone have one they could part with. I will buy in any condition. At least then I would have a pattern to replicate it. 810-691-6352
Found a Montgomery Ward 525, but need to drive a few hours or so to pick it up. Looks to be about 75% complete, def not original engine. I still need to do my homework on this model, but if there are any other owners out there with parts or general info on this model, please chime in. Thanks folks!
