    2hp Briggs, Restoration

Hi all, (sorry for all the threads ) Really wanted to do a thread on my 2hp. It's taken me a little over one week, to disassemble, clean and paint. This is the 30 dollar engine I brought at a swapmeet. For memory is a 73, 60102. It has a vaccujet carb. The motor is a copper colour, which...

    Old Copper Colored 6.5 hp

I've had this motor for 20 years. It was old when I got it! I had it on a go cart to ride with my son on his go cart. It always ran very good. Just been sitting in the garage, since I sold the carts. Is there an electronic ignition conversion available? The points are always a concern for tuning...

    .016 copper hg on predator

When I bought my arc flywheel I also bought the .016 copper hg but haven't installed it yet because some people told me that its just a PITA. Since I have it and its just laying around I decided to just try it and see what happens. Do I need anything special to install it like sealant?

3 or 3.5 Copper Briggs with flo jet

Not sure what this engine is. Came on a Cat I sold. It is a copper colored Briggs and has a flo jet carb and metal tank. Turns over with decent compression. Tank is nasty inside. 3/4" tapped pto. Unfortunately the shroud was changed. $40 plus shipping or I will deliver to the NJ show in two weeks.

    Vintage Copper Briggs and Stratton

I've been acquiring some older copper Briggs horizontal shaft engines. 3 hp and 5 hp. So far they have either spark and compression or compression with no spark. I may be able to get some that run but in my opinion they would need work but could run and become a decent mini bike engine. I...

    Copper color

Has anyone tried the new product a two step Copper colored paint system from Dupli-Color ? It might be a good paint choice for the Briggs Engines. They have a short video clip on using it on a chrome wheel. Steve :scooter:

    71 copper Briggs 5hp

I have a 1971 Briggs 5hp in copper. I know very little about this engine unfortunately. Compression feels good and it appears to have a magnetron conversion. There is spark but no diaphragm in the carb?? Might be good for a Powell or other resto. $100 obo located in Pennsburg PA 18073. Possible...

    Copper 8hp

I had always wanted to build a motor with the old briggs copper color that was popular in the 70's. On the 'oldminibikes' forum, I heard about the Rustoleum High Temp Ultra 'Aged Copper' paint. I tried it and this is the result. The paint was thin and required several thin coats to make it...

Here is my entry for the 2012 OldMiniBikes Vintage Class Build Off. I will be using a Bonanza 1300 frame with a 5HP Briggs engine.
