I am finally getting around to rebuilding the Lausen diaphram carb for my Rupp Scrambler. It's on a Tecumseeeehhhh. I bough a rebuild kit from Black Widow. Everything looks the same but.....where does the needle seat gasket go?? I took the carb apart and I'll be darned it I can figure out...

So after removing the molasses that the previous owner used for gas I'm putting the carb back together and have a quick question: As the carb sits on the bike, does the gasket go on top of the diaphram? Meaning the sequence from bottom to top goes: bottom plate, diaphram ,gasket, carb body...

I posted earlier for a slanted intake for a H 35 , now I am told a diaphram carb will also work. If anyone has one please let me know. radams7425@aol.com

Tecumseh Diaphram carb as pictured. Ideal for like HS40 or similar. Carb is probably better than new since I personally built it. Would prefer to NOT sell this to someone that has tried 3 different carbs and still thinks that the carb is the problem since you are obviously barking up the wrong...

All the holes on the diaphram are not just like my casing holes. Looks like a universal diaphram. There is no upper right hole on the diaphragm; think it would be better to have a screw running thru a hole in the gasket in that location. Getting a little idle up,then slowly down then slowly up...

Ok.....starting another thread here..... Now that I've established it's a diaphragm type carb....any tips on getting this thing running? I've never worked with that type of carb before. It will fire with some carb cleaner / starting fluid sprayed in the intake...but won't stay running...

Just starting working a roadster2 (early 71) that I have it has been sitting a few years. Put new oil in it and fresh gas. second pull the engine turned over for 10 seconds then died. would not restart again. is this a carb problem? cant seem to take the spark plug out does the whole engine...
