You can reduce the height of the gas tank cap on the Predator 212 but taking the cap apart and cutting the white plastic underneath flush with the top of the metal. I have the new Predator 212 CA version with screw in cap. Undo the chain that connects to the screen filter and turn cap upside...
Ok so I'm brand new to the small motor world. Literally took apart my first one ever this morning. Idk if I have a motor issue or a carb issue. I have the throttle screw as low as it goes so my son can go slow. When I ride, I just push the governor lever under the gas tank so I can go fast. Well...
Bought a Taco 44 with a bent, broken shock. They are hard to find. I took it apart and found the cast aluminum part was busted in half. Lucky for me we have a lathe and a Machinist at the Door shop I Work at. He started with 1-1/2" round aluminum. Now I have a better stronger replacement part...
This site and OldMiniBikes Warehouse have been helpful to me in my efforts to learn more about small engines through hands-on working with them. I have a 6.5 hp clone in my Baja Warrior and with the gov removed, it has been fun! It is fun in my opinion to work on engine mods in a toy like a mini-bike...
So on my trike the valve stem ripped out of the tube. It was a larin. Rather than buy a new tube I thought maybe it can fix. All I did was put a washer on the stem. it had a rubber coating on one side to seal against the bottom lip of the stem. It came with a bolt together fiberglass bath tub...

Looking at this pic I just realized something. I have one shock working and one not. I haven't touched this bike in a while but when I go to fix this issue, how am I going to twist these forks off with that fender bracket joining them?
Looks like I'll have to use brute force and...
Just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Started riding bikes when I was 4. That was over 35 years ago! I recently "dug out" my very first mini bike. It is a 1970 (ish) Indian MM5B, at least I think that what it is! I think it must have been made in Italy ( not...
Hey everyone.
I just installed a new upgraded air filter from OldMiniBikes,GX200/Clone Air Filter Kit
The problem is, the gas overflows into the filter from the carb. What is the problem, and how do I fix it?
Picked this ruttman up in Michigan while I was up there. Haven't done anything to it just letting him ride it. Will fix it up with him when it warms up.
So.....I'm kind of at a loss here. I have no idea how this could happen/get this bad. That must have been a ROUGH ride for whoever owned this bike.
I don't know how I didn't notice this before now, but now I need to fix it. My only thought is to weld a 5/8" spacer into a thick washer...
Hey I got a hole the size of a penny in my tire. Put the rubber patches... nope. Tried the slime/fix-a-flat... nope. Vulcanisation? (SP) Any sugestions It`s not a hole as such more of a crack like in a windshield going all the way through. Not on the sidewall thankfully.

My engine would run somdays and not run others. Or it would run and then die in ten minutes. After going crazy and not wanting to buy a new carb i found out that the stock gx200 carb has a second bowl on it. It is underneath the fuel on/off valve and simply screws off with pliers or a 10mm...
