Few years back these popped up on ebay, the listing stated it was an optional accessory for the performance exhaust on the 68-69 Rupps. Its a cool little butterfly plate, the intentions are to quiet the exhaust down when needed, or when your ready to throw down and race for pinks turn the knob...

found this in the barn awile back in an old frame, its a 3.5 briggs aluminum block with a mercury clutch and a bigger bottom feeder carb. and it sais teste rosa on the shroud dont know if its factory or what
I spotted this old Tillitson carb on Flea-bay and threw a low ball bid at it....ended up winnning it for 40 bucks :smile:
