I got ahold of a heald super bronc.
I haven't located a jack shaft for it yet though. I am not even sure what one would cost because I haven't seen one for sale.
I wanted to get the right one because of the fact the things brake is on the shaft so I have no brakes and no drive chain...
I know this has probably been mentioned over and over again, but sorry I'm still not getting it..
I have a box stock motor with the following set up, 12t - 18t- 13t-72t....so to my understanding I have a 8.31 gear ratio... From what I have been seeing this ratio makes it a torque...
Hello, I have a doodle bug that I recently converted to 40 chain to handle my aggressive riding in unknown terrain and high speeds with a weight of 135 pounds. The stock 35 chain would stretch way to fast, and if it got grass in the chain n sprockets it would jump off or snap (not a the...
I am building the jackshaft for my current built. The setup is a live rear Axle (fixed) to a jackshaft to the motor which is joined by a TAV 2 TC.
My question is, Do I make the Jackshaft adjustable? The engine plate is going to be slotted so I figure make the jackshaft slotted as well so I...
im in need of parts to build a jack shaft for my doodle bug. i went to trust tractor supply think they would have parts and i was willing to pay a little more for the stuff and i walk back and stand there looking they dont have the size i need or any thing. then i figured why not buy some Bering...
I am getting ready to install the jack shaft on my 1968 rupp roadster. There was no chain on it when I bought it and I am not sure how to set it up. There is a clutch on the engine and a clutch on the jackshaft. Does someone have a picture of one of these set up. I tryed to find a pic myself but...
Well sometimes it’s just dumb luck. I was pouring over the OldMiniBikes photo archives one day looking for vintage photos for the Scrapbook thread when I stumbled upon this picture and caption posted by a member called “Tooljac”.
"This is a picture of what I now believe to be about the first...
So I am looking for a complete jack shaft for a super bronc. The last owner well messed it up good and I am interested in fixing the whole thing. Anyone got one for sale?
This is on ebay.
Rupp Mini Bike Clutch and 2-Speed Jackshaft Assy. (NEW) | eBay
To me it looks like a normal clutch mounted on the jack shaft. The sprocket should be mounted to the clutch pad side and not the bell side. It should look like this Comet one.
Am I right??? :shrug...
It's late and my brain is fried, need a little input. I just changed the tires and the new ones are a little shorter than the old ones. I want to regain (and maybe add a little extra) of the top end/max speed. Do I want to increase or decrease the size of the primary side jack-shaft sprocket...
Well I was riding my mini around and the bike started making this awful noise and i saw the jack shaft was jumping up and down inside the cups of the bearings. It's a 72 wards bike. I get back home and see that the bearings came completely out of it on one side. The cups to these bearings look...
I have seen a jack shaft set up on 2 bikes where it moves the sprockets to the right side of the rear tire, what is the deal with that? what purpose does it serve and where do you get them? Im thinking it is to move the gear so you don't knock the chain off when racing on a left turn oval?? Thanks
Current setup is a DB30 old style, engine mods include gov out, performance air and exhaust. Gearing is a Max Torque 12T and sprocket adapter 58T. Tire size is 15” diameter with stock 5.00 wheel. My dad says I don’t need a jack shaft for two reasons: 50 MPH is enough speed for a bike built...
Hey guys. Feeling like I should know the answer to this question. I received my 10" jack shaft kit from OldMiniBikes w.h. I've never installed one of these and can't make much sense of it. The kit came with 2 snap ring bearings, 2 shaft keys, 2 sprockets, 1 lock spacer, the shaft and the 2 side...
