I just switched to a 50T rear sprocket and now my bike gets moving on the top end. It gets up to 50mph now. Anyways, after about 2 minutes of riding, the chain will fly off and the master link is nowhere to be found. Could I possibly have the motor and clutch misaligned, or is 50mph too...

I need a closed end type masterlink. #40 and #35 who sells them? this place sells the standard type. Or at least that what the pic. shows. McMaster-Carr

I've never adjusted a chain before. My 2-1 reducer is now a 1-1 drive. I'm exactly one link short, but the chain comes apart two links at a time. I tried leaving it slack with an extra link, but it jumps cogs. Ideas? It's either odd and needs to be even, or even and needs to be odd...

What exactly is that half link for you find on chains next to the master link. is it for that little extra or does it really serve a porpuse ?
