I've been working on a hs40 on my thunderbird and it will not start good. I can't get it to start but spray starter fluid through the carb a pull or two later and she's good to go. Whats the problem? Also when i idle it for a while then hit the gas she blows a little white smoke.

Where can I find a clone gx200 electric start engine for a good price? Is NR racing the lowest priced? Are their engines good?

My Baja wants to go as soon as I start it, I have to hold the brake on or it will be gone. It doesn't sound like its idling high, I was guessing that the clutch was bad, but I'm not real familiar with mini engines.

Guys the start rope won't rewind. When the cover is off the recoil works fine, it's how hard the shaft is to turn that keeps it from rewinding. See the pic with the screwdriver pointing to the shaft and flywheel. That's where the problem is... I think. Any ideas? Thanks
