So we finally have a date for the Westside Ride here in Grand Rapids, MI.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2014....1pm.-5pm

This year we'll be doing something a little different. We'll meet up at Union High School, like last year, then we'll drive over to the lake shore (West Olive area) and start our ride at Counstevulas parents house. We'll ride the country roads and probably make our way to Irv's (the guy who rides the Honda CT70/90??) house (compound) to see his awesome collection of motorized vehicles... minibikes, oddities, motorcycles.... things you probably will never have a chance to see if you don't come on the ride.

If you need more info, pm me and I'll do my best to fill you in.

Thanks!

The only way I'm not going is if it's cancelled
Tom stll planned on going as of five o'clock tonight.
Toms friend Gene was supposed to come.
I have 3 minis. Gene has the Bonanza.
I will ride the Hilltopper unless someone wants to barrow it for the ride.
If it's barrowed I will ride the Boonie.

Still plan on attending, looks sketchy rain wise, if wet out I'll be riding the Pac Mule as the Harrison doesn't have the fenders on yet......................Tom.

"You get to see the original casa de la count"

I envision a dark 3 story house with several turrets jutting skyward.
After grabbing the 32lb bull ring from the demon head mounted to the door and clanking it loudly we are greeted with what can only be Mrs. the Stevula dressed head to toe in black shimmering gossamer and enough silver to put the Lone Ranger out of business. "Welcome to casa de la count", please take off your shoes". The heavenly aroma of perhaps goat eyes basting in a fine lambs blood broth draws us in! The Stevula children (booberry & frankenberry) are diligently doing their homework at the kitchen table undisturbed by modern conveniences such as iPhones and fresh air ...

.... seriously, my OldMiniBikes order just showed up .... Gotta go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update:
The OldMiniBikes box was open on one edge, the 3 items to put the Bonanza on the road are gone.
The 3 items Tom ordered are in there .... so no Bonanza.

The new clutch for the Boonie Bike came but it requires the crank be tapped on the end to mount it. I may take the motor to work tonight and tap it there.

O-Well!

Six, you need to contact Vicki at OldMiniBikes and let them know about the box. They'll probably replace the missing parts.

I took a pic and contacted OldMiniBikes right away, I talked to Diana ...
I just got a email back after sending a pic ... it says ...

"Good enough I'll get this started and get the other items out as soon as possible. You will see an invoice and tracking as soon as I get a chance."

So it is in the works .... Things happen ....

UPDATE:
At 11:54 I received and email from OldMiniBikes showing the order has been re-shipped.
I don't see a tracking # yet but I'm guessing that will take a little longer to get.

Either way things seem to be moving FAST!

If I remember correctly, there may not be enough room between the clutch mounting bolt head and the clutch cover. That's why they put a clutch on it with the set screws. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember.

As of now, the ride is still on. If it's raining at 12noon on Saturday we'll make a decision as to whether or not to reschedule the ride. Should be cleared up by then.
