69 Rupp Sprint original paint

Thought there might be a few of you interested in how my sprint cleaned up. I am still waiting for my carb kit and have not installed the nos muffler, but still looking pretty good to me.

Thanks guys, all the chrome is original. All I did was wax the paint and polish the chrome. It does have some paint on the seat that must have spilled on it when it was stored. Anybody have any ideas on how to remove it?

WOW !! Looks great !!! If you want to get rid of the paint on the seat, just sell me the whole bike. LOL. Try acetone or MEK. Try it on a peice of vinyl on the underside of the seat first to see how it reacts. Good luck.

I tried acetone and it started to cut into the black as soon as it made contact. I have never heard of MEK, where can I get some?

MEK = Methyl Ethyl Ketone. Reading up on it though, it sounds like it ruin the seat also. Sorry. I've used both the clean many things, but never a seat. Good luck.
