Im looking for input on howto oil an airfilter...And what oil to use??? thanks gang!

filter oil from an atv/dirtbike shop. Some will work with paper and foam. Some don't.

your local auto parts store should have K&N air filter oil in a spray can. Spray it on the outside of the filter, and does not have to be too heavy. A light coat is all that is needed, but make sure to get it done completely and in the pleats. They also have a kit that comes with a cleaning solution and oil spray...that's what I buy!

Uni brand filters and foam filters take a stickier oil sold by Uni if you ever end up using that type.

Cotton gauze/fabric filters need a specific type of oil and oiled foam filters need a specific oil. Motorcycle shops that cater to dirt bikes will at least have foam filter oil. Auto parts stores usually have K&N oil for gauze filters. Application instructions are on the container in either case.

Just an FYI, fabric filters tend to flow better, but not filter as well as foam.
